What are hazardous goods?
Hazardous goods are substances and items that, due to their nature, properties, or condition, may pose a risk to public safety or the shipment during transport—especially to the general public, essential goods, human and animal health, and property. Therefore, hazardous goods may only be shipped nationally in accordance with PostNL Parcel regulations and the underlying ADR land transport regulations.
Returning hazardous goods: return instructions
Hazardous goods include products containing corrosive substances, explosives, gases, or flammable materials.
In particular, lithium batteries and cells, and products containing them, are considered hazardous goods.
Hazardous goods are only allowed for commercial transport under specific conditions and must be clearly labeled as such.
If possible, use the original packaging to return the product. If the original packaging is damaged, use a new, sturdy box.
Ensure the items cannot move around inside the packaging. Containers must be tightly sealed to prevent any leakage.
Affix the return label and 'hazardous goods' stickers clearly on the packaging.
If using the original packaging and the 'hazardous goods' labels are intact and visible, only attach the return label without covering the existing labels.
Do not return severely damaged batteries. If the battery can be removed, return the device without the battery and dispose of the battery properly. If the battery cannot be removed, please contact our customer service.
